obama wins. i don't know bianca but he's pro abortion, supports gay/same sex marriages, wants to negotiates with the terrorists and he's into socialism. individual gun rights pa. plus he was muslimized (if there is such a term) when he was still living in indonesia. im afraid he might betray and cheat americans (sana ako lang nagiisip nun).
at first, i was rooting for obama but when i studied more about their (both him and mccain) backgrounds, i told myself, "how come he (obama) said that the book which influenced him the most was the bible yet upholds what the bible despises?"
but then again, he hasn't started his job yet so let us all hope he lives up to his title "new hope" or "change".
wala lang. just a thought. :)

mind if i reply to She's comment to you here? :) i would just want to express my opinion on what She has stated in her comment here. she mentioned Obama being 'muslimized' during his stay in Indonesia. What striked me was how she stated it. what's the problem if he had embraced Islam? is it gonna 'betray americans?' well, i just smell Discrimination here and i think it's not fair for She to write it that way. Islam doesn't teach anything related to cheating, evil or terrorism. that's all. I don't mean harm to others && i hope we all don't. Let's be sensitive to what others would feel && try to be open-minded. K? =D

Are you sure you will vote for Obama if you happen to
be an american citizen? He is the opposite of everything
you are.
Obama was raised an atheist and while he is now
a professed baptist, he is a democrat and as such will
reverse everything that the Bush administration and his
Religious Right allies have wreaked upon the American
people. The Supreme Court of the United States is just
one jurist away from having a conservative majority. If
the Republicans won, McCain will most likely appoint a
conservative jurist (some say it would be Gonzales)
and Roe vs Wade will be overturned. (Of course you know
what Roe vs Wade is, don't you?)
(I know you cannot say anything substantial in this blog
but I can safely assume you are against the Reproductive
Health Bill pending in Philippine congress also. I
am quite sure of your stand in Roe vs Wade.)
But because Obama won, the next jurist that Obama
will appoint will stem the tide of conservativism
in the SCOTUS. The liberties that
the American people have come to expect will be preserved.
Let me tick off more ways in which Obama (as a democrat)
is so much your antithesis.
(a) Do you believe that school should start with a
prayer? (As an Atenean, I know your answer to this.)
An opinion from the SCOTUS bans school prayer. Obama will
not want to reverse this.
(b) Do you think the US flag is sacred? SCOTUS
says burning the american flag is a legitimate form of
freedom of expression. Obama will not want
to reverse this.
(c) Are you against stem cell research? Stem cell research
involves cloning human embryos and then stirring the test
tube in order to separate the cells and prevent them from
becoming a human infant. The catholic church is against
stem cell research. (As the RCC was, at various times in
its history, against the education of women, against
the emancipation of slaves, against the independence of
the Philippines and against a host of other causes
now considered to be basic human rights, the opinions
of the RCC should count for nothing in the modern world.
Unfortunately, certain poor countries with populations
of low average IQ still listen to the rantings of
the denizens of this archaic institution.)
The Bush administration banned
stem cell research in the US and consequently the US is
now lagging behind other countries when it comes to this
very important medical technology. Obama will surely reverse
this ban which Bush imposed under pressure from his
religious allies.
(d) Do you believe that the US (or any nation)
is a nation under God? An atheist father successfully
challenged this part of the US Oath of Allegiance
in the lower courts but pressure from the religious right and
the Bush administration reversed the decision in a higher
court. With Obama appointees in the SCOTUS, this
despicable part of the oath of allegiance will be legally
stricken off.
(e) Do you believe that God created Adam and Eve and that
they are the first humans? Bush and his religious allies have
succeeded in inserting a religious myth into the science
education of the youth of the United States. Thankfully, an Obama
administration will likely not allow such a travesty to happen
again.
(f) Do you believe that divorce should be legal?
Obama thinks so.
(g) Do you believe that family consists of a man, a woman
and a child? (This is the definition of the CBCP.) Obama will
likely say no. (Amen!) The institution of gay marriage
will be safe under Obama.
There are many many more things that Obama believes in that
you do not believe in, Bianca. If you are an american voter,
more likely you will be wearing a McCain t-shirt and praising
the unremarkable, uneducated, unsophisticated and
very religious Sarah Palin
as the ideal leader of great nation like the US.

It's not about the physical outlook or any mental "fad", if I may. The cry for "change" is never questionable; it's founded and it has gauged a desire not only for the U.S but people globally as well. I have no doubt, nor do I see you as a person without intellectual insight because I do think you're a very unique individual in our generation who has a strong voice and a charismatic ability to express intellectual opinions. However, the question is not in the statement, the question is a deeper and subjective value of the kind of "changes" you want to see altruistically in this world. So, I pose this question: What kind of changes do you want for this world? I know it's such a cliche question (and I know you would probably never read this) but I challenge you to sincerely and truly answer this question for yourself because it is critically detrimental to the health of your intellect if you're not able to think beyond the outer realm of your pure inventive wisdom. Go deeper. Explore deeper so that you can challenge others, uniquely think as a pure individual consequently seeing things that only God can see.
