happy second birthday, pancake!

pancake turned two last may, but due to the busy schedules of her human owners, her party didn't push through. finally, a few days ago, it did!! she was sooo happy and she really was the star of the day!! her party was complete with a personalized cake (sabi daw nung nagsusulat ng name sa cake, "pancake? uhm.. sorry po ah, pero, ano pong klaseng pangalan yun?" sagot ng driver, "ah, aso po si pancake"), colorful and personalized balloons (of course! that's important to create the "party mood"), and doggie loot bags (aba! di naman pwedeng walang take home ang mga bisitang neighbor dogs diba? so they all went home with a chew bone. love it!).

for the longest time, i've been looking forward to what pancake will wear for her big party. usually, she doesn't repeat clothes for big events. thing is, i was told, she's too fat and doesn't fit in her other costumes. :( aaw, pancake. kaluuy.

of course, the human attendees were the ones who had the most fun. pigging out on the cake (bawal na si pancake sa sweets, diet na siya), pancit (a must, for long life), barbeque (the staple pinoy party snack), and even paella (sosyal talaga si pancake)! of course there were also lots of drinks and the humans ended up staying for kainan at kwentuhan til the evening while the doggie friends and the birthday girl went to rest early.

dogs really give this unexplainable joy to life. :)
