simple surprises on my 28th. ♥

thursday is the day i have a regular lunch date with my friends toni and mariel. it was the day before my birthday, but since i had work, i knew the celebrations would start early. when i got into their dressing room, they weren't there because they were still working, but i saw this. of course i immediately assumed it was for me. :p





because i wasn't "surprised" and it was me who "surprised" them by being there early, mariel barged into the dressing room, holding up this banner. sooo sweet!





they say you gotta eat noodles on your birthday for long life. so this is super yummy spaghetti from amber, care of toni!





aaw.. my first cake for my birthday!!!! so sweet! i love that the candles spell happy birthday, makes me feel like a kid! notice though who the cake is from.. "mariel and tony".. hmm.. toni goes, "ah, galing ang cake kay mariel rodriguez at tony.. tony mabesa."





meet myrns. mariel's beloved yaya. the one responsible for the "tony" mishap. but that's not the worst. last year, she was also the one responsible for the mishap with the birthday cake of mariel's husband, robin padilla. his cake read, "happy birthday ruben". i kid you not. "ruben". hahahahahaha! that's myrns for you. :) speaking of mariel and "ruben", please do watch "tum: my pledge of love" out in cinemas on april 6! :)





thank you for the wonderful, little, early birthday celebration!!!! i love you ma! i love you toni! thank you girls!!!! :)





that evening after a loooong, haaaard days work, i got the one of the sweetest surprises of my life. i got back to my dressing room and i saw this. my whole dressing room decked out in photo collages, flowers, balloons, gifts, cakes, letters. the sweetest! aaaaaaaaaaw.. :)

the n was photos from work.. but work doesn't seem like work because they're like family to me!





the c was all family.. of course, the most important people in my life. :)





and the last a were all my best friends! i'm so amazed at how this was all researched! really! some photos are so old!





i always sign my name with a peace sign, a heart sign, and a smiley, to symbolize peace, love, and happiness. even that was made into a collage! here's peace..

then i also had the second cake for my birthday! so pretty with all the colors!





and if you thought that was all so sweet, it gets even sweeter.. :) my favorite flower is the gerbera and here is a whole bunch of it! and with each one, attached is a birthday message from different people in my life! from my mom to my best friend pepel, to my barkada to supporters based abroad.. imagine!!!! they really made a way to message all these people in my life and compile and print everything! i felt like it was my debut! i couldn't help but tear up reading these messages!





and now, meet the wonderful biancsters responsible for one of the best gifts i've ever gotten my whole life! thank you!!!! thank you so, so, so much. i told you that night, and i'll say it again, you really made me feel sooo special on my birthday and words cannot express how thankful i am! i am so blessed to have you guys in my life! and.. lakas maka-jowa ng ginawa ninyo! :p





the next day for breakfast, my actual birthday, i was barely awake when i came down to the dining room for breakfast, when my mom and jc started to sing "happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday to yoooou.." a third cake for my birthday! yaay!!!! and yes, this is when i made my birthday wish. :)





of course my birthday would not be complete without a skype date with the two most important men in my life, my brother jc and my godson roco!!!!

and to my surprise i got one of the most beautiful floral arrangements i've received in my life! when i opened the card, to my surprise, it was given by the office of the president, noynoy aquino! i felt so special! thank you sir! :)





i never really celebrate big on my birthday, i've never thrown a party, and i've never made an event out of it. i just really like spending my birthday with the people important to me, doing something simple but special!
