open letter to heaven.

dear GoD,

thank you for our power to exercise our democracy and vote.
thank you for our pretty much peaceful election day.
please watch over our country.
please allow only those who are deserving and those who will glorify your name to serve your people.

dun sa mga may masamang balak, LoRd, kayo na bahala sa kanila.

all my love and hope,
bianca

at pahabol na prayer lang po pala.. mali nga po ata ang statement ng pnp na generally peaceful ang elections.. kasi mga 150 na ang election related deaths.. peace and justice for all the loved ones of victims of violence.. really LoRd, kayo na po bahala "sa kanila".

What a beautiful prayer...I will pray that prayer in the coming weeks, and hope that it will bear fruit, along with everyone else's prayers.

that was a nice prayer. sadly, i was a witness to some not so good election-related incidents, mostly vote-buying. i think it's the "new" election trend

Hello Bianca!

I will agree with mark... it is indeed a beautiful prayer... peaceful election? that's a liar! alam mo naman dito sa Pinas...tsk tsk. It is sad to think na bakit ganito ang iba sa mga kababayan natin no?

Yung iba..bakit di nila matanggap ang pagkatalo nila.. napipikon pa tapos sasabihin.. daya... ano ba yun!

But I'm proud that I didn't ignore my right to vote. Yung iba sa mga friends ko, di na bumoto. I'm still wearing my dirty index finger until now hehehehe.

Thanks for approving my comment sa "take me far, far away.." entry mo.

Hey Bianca. I'm Tara's friend, the one who wrote Bronze Magnifica. I rewrote it and I wanted you to read it and tell me what you think about it but I'm not sure where to send it. Please stop by my blog (http://cocainemango.blogspot.com) when you can and tell me where to send it. I'd really love to hear what you think. Also, I'm a student activist and reading your blogs about politics makes me happy because we need more people like you who are socially aware and are genuinely interested in making our country a better place to live in (sounds cliche, I know, but it's true). =p

Care to reveal your senatoriables?

Or even the TU-GO-Independent ratio?

I voted 11-0-1. ;)

it has been 4 days since the elections and yet I'm still disheartened with the people who do crimes just to let their bets win...even though I did not vote last election (cause I'm still 16), I'll pray the prayer that you have made cause I know, with our prayers, our country will get better..

till here...

Salamat sa blog mo at sa mga inspirational nuggets na sinusulat mo. i came across your website tonight, at tamang tama ang timing dahil medyo down ako ngayon. thank you for putting a smile on my face :)

you're right.. there's nothing for us to do but to pray for our country and ask God the peacefulness that we want to achieve! =)

exercised my right to vote, always have, always will -- otherwise i'll have no business complaining about what the government has or hasn't delivered =)

unfortunately, an uncle just became part of the statistics on election-related violence last week...

it's my first time here. and this post really made me 'smile'.

perhaps, it's because i've been exposed lately to these many pinoy-bloggers announcing their agnostic/atheistic beliefs with their 'twisted' rationale.

but just with this short 'letter to GOD', i'm sure it adds to the morale of the 'community of believers' who are still hopeful for the Almighty GOD who will eventually hear a sincere plead like this one, and not be like those 'pathetic grumblers' ranting without doing actual efforts to resolve his/her dissatisfactions.

and what awes me more, is even with a concise post, it drew a lot of reactions from your readers (including my late comment)!

so, with all my lengthy words, all i meant to say is ...

"Amen."

i thin the past elctions is an elevated way of how people vote.

pagod na rin siguro sila ksa kakagoyo sa kanila ng mga politiko.

i am very delighted hindi nanalo ssi PICHAY. i think thats the manifestation that our dear voters have finally come to their senses that ang mga taong masyadong hayok sa kapangyarihan di dapat pagkatiwalaan

and also the past election proved that mass media is powerless when people decides with their mind.

it was my fist time to vote and ive never felt better.
