one of the best explanations i've heard if you're having trouble choosing your candidate!

question of ben cabigas:
"In principle, is it OK to abstain for the position of President? Pa'no pag hindi buo ang loob mo sa boto mo?"

reply of st anthony enriquez tiu:

I like that answer. It makes sense. Its like something our friends always say when we talk about who to vote for presidency: Choose the lesser evil. Choose who has the bigger heart to serve the Filipinos.

Absolutely, exactly, at ano pa bang ly?:D

Kaya nga dapat maging mulat ang mga tao most especially the "internet youth" and the youth in general.

Candidates for presidency should be specimens of our judgment. We should be aware of how they will endure and how they could push their subordinates to achieve their goal most100x especially the issues of CORRUPTION and we can only do that by studying carefully their background.

Now that's a challenge we should take as voters.

this is uber true! oo naman---think a lot upon voting, then you have to believe in the person whom you voted for--support him and trust him--- voting is entrusting yourself and your future generations to a persons hand, and you must stand beside him all the way..

Hi Ate Bianca!!can i just say that i really admire your much involvement in the upcoming elections..Actually, I am too..I am a first time voter and i really want my vote to mean something..Ever since the official candidates for presidency came out, i can say that i already had my "best bet" in mind..It may seem impulsive, but then again i think that the principle in this upcoming election is very easy: Base it on Morality..I know, it may seem 'mababaw' but it's just that i think that our country have had its share of "marunong and madunong presidents" in the past..that all it did was to manipulate corruption leaving the citizens hopeless..so i think basta hindi nalang tayo nakawan, okay na..Sayang yung mga politicians na magagaling talaga who are just putting their talents to waste by corruption...That is why i think that what the Filipinos need right now is a leader who can give assurance that political theft would not happen anymore.

No one can be a perfect candidate because people have different set of standards and beliefs. It is hard to pleased everyone and meet their expectations. But one thing I can say, If you have a pure heart and sincerity to do good things for the majority of the people then he is the "ONE". Maging "matang-lawin" sa pagpili....Here in province it is hard to know better because people really rely on the television ad. I just hope that there will be a good samaritan that will not be bias in revealing the true color of the candidates.

i still don't know who i will vote for. i think hindi na naman ako boboto.hay!!

I agree. One way or another, there is that "BUT" that comes along with all the candidates supposedly "ACHIEVEMENTS". The thing is, we really have to research and stand by our decisions as well as RESPECT other people's decisions.

A very direct and convenient (with no pun intended!) answer! We really have to vote. The position is a necessity. Might as well choose the one who's best (or deemed most appropriate) for the position. Dapat talagang pagisipan and boto and decide with your vote!

Ako I go for aquino, because among the other candidates noy is the least expected candidate to do evil things and he couldn't afford to corrupt the legacy of ninoy and cory so I think noy will make a good president... sorry for villar fans here but there are even text messages circulating na villar is a secret candidate of arroyo. How's that?

Pero it's nice to notice that voters of today's generation are really finding time to think of the worth of their votes and who will they vote for...filipinos are now getting smarter when it comes to election.

I agree! Voters should possess open mindedness. Every vote counts. In my stand, i would go for a candidate whose character is well built. Our country doesn't need a president who is just smart, creative and willing but Filipinos and Philippines need a leader with good morals.

i have already made up my mind kung sinong iboboto ko....what the country needs at this time is someone with high moral values who has the political will to eradicate corruption in government...having travelled in many parts of asia and other middle eastern countries, i see that we need to catch up with our neighbors...billions of funds have been wasted on corruption big time...who knows, in 2 years time, we will be overtaken even by Vietnam and Laos...

btw, got your daily journals...get well sooon Bianca...

ganyan magsalita ang TOYM awardee. another one for the books, mr. st anthony tiu.

it's refreshing that people, most esp the youth are more politically active and aware these days. who knows, this could be the start of a renewed face of phil politics.

First time akong boboto sa darating na halalan. :)
we're the ones who are truly responsible when it comes to voting. so vote wisely..

wooow, i like that answer. oo nga naman, we really don't know what will happen. only time can tell if we've made the right decision in casting our votes. tama, all we need to do is to think about it a million times. kung susugal ba tayo sa tamang tao o hinde.

my first time to comment on your page, bianca. but i have admired you since the early Y-speak days =)

cheers!
