why do some people do such evil things?
don't they get guilty, or don't they feel bad?
and.. how are you supposed to deal with that?

i guess, you cant please everybody. there are people who at times lets you down coz of their egocentric self and envy towards a person. well, as paris hilton says "if people want to hate you for no reason at all, let them, cause obviously they are either insecure, jealous or simply a b**ch". whoah, my maganda din palang quote from her,. hehe. dont let it get into you, kundi ikaw din talo. - sam.. =)smile and be happy always.

If this is about the Glorietta incident, then I am just as baffled as you are. I guess, it just goes to show how messed up some people's beliefs can be. Don't get me wrong, I am all for respecting other people's opinions and belief, but they should also do the same.

To whoever is responsible for this, my wish is that they be skinned and burned alive. =P

I guess we just have to cope with it and move on.

Anonymous said...

do you think the best solution is to "pray for them"?

Anonymous said...

If you are referring to the glorietta bombing, I agree with you, I don't see the point why a person should bomb a mall. Sad thing indeed.

Anonymous said...

maybe because of the environment where they grew. . .
or maybe they are having fun doing those things. . .
siguro naman hindi, baka may dahilan sila kya sila gumagawa ng masasamang bagay. . .(we dont know. . .)

by the way. . . ate bianca, how do you feel nung pinasok si ate mariel dun sa loob PBB house? tsaka bakit ka napapaluha nung iyak ng iyak siya sa loob?

Anonymous said...

maybe because they were born to do those kind of things or maybe they're happpy doing evil things.. i just dont mind them, bahala sila hanggang mapagod sila hehe.. sometimes i told to myself "God will take care of them." always remember karma strikes back 3 times.. :)

Anonymous said...

what's wrong ate bianca?
are you ok?
well, i think may reason sila kung bakit nila ginawa yun..
malay natin!
just PRAY na lang.
promise! effective yan.

i'm sure you are talking about the "bombing" at Glorietta 2... well, regardless if the issue is current or not (whether it be the G2 bomb or not), there are still a lot of evil people around.. 9/11 sa US, bombings here sa Pinas (remember LRT incident?)... it's just soo sad...

At times like these, we have to be strong even if we are so weak and afraid.. and be an inspiration to others to do the same.. sana compassion can be passed to anyone by merely touching them, but no... we have to educate ourselves, lalo na our children or even not our own children... teach them morals, good character, compassion, sympathy, goodness...

I wish to do that and I hope God will help me achieve that goal.. and I wish that same goal for each and every one of us...

Why? What happened?
I always ask myself those questions.. Well I don't know..

man by nature is good...therefore, people who choose to do evil things are not human...hehehehe

you deal with people who do evil things by positive thinking... "think" that they will soon "positively" die...hehehe

with whatever life or love offers us, we learn a lot from ...the most important thing is to let go of the worry or pain caused by the experience then choose to focus on the learning... then we move on, or rather, choose to move on...

you deal with hurt, hate, and all the negative feelings by focusing on things that makes you laugh, love more and cope...

be it a concern or issue of love or life or the society in general, don't worry much bianca...

we are here for you...we support and LOVE you....we are forever your cyber friends....=)

hi bianca! since i learned about your blog, i have been reading it for some time now..and i can't help but smile whenever i am able to read about your travels and other stories..i am really a fan! i just hadn't had any time to comment or say something to you because of lack of time, but now, finally, i found the time [and probably the courage..hehe] anyway, i just wanted to say, i admire you for your hosting skills, wit, great fashon sense, your desire to make a difference, and for always empowering the youth and us, the ladies out there..and as for your recent blog entry, i think, the evils of the world are really inevitable and through them, people will be more aware of the good surrounding them, thus making us want to obliterate all the evils that remain..just go and show them how good you are and no matter how evil they are, they will do you no harm! again, i sure hope to see you in person or probably be even one of your friends[if it's not too much to ask, of course].. :) be seeing you in pbb and yspeak! take care and continue that positive, entertaining, and intelligent way of influencing people, conciously or not! :)

i've asked myself that question before and believe me, we can never truly understand their reason unless we're one of them. don't you think? so when i couldn't figure them out, i simply screamed and let go. they're not worth it. basta tayo, kahit sinasaktan nila, hindi pa din tayo gaganti...we'll be happy and they'll go through their lives with the weight of knowing that all they do is hurt others.

i have a question too, close to yours, ringing on my mind for quite sometime now: why do people choose to be bad when they can always choose to be good? and i have an answer: it's more difficult to be good. go figure.

many people, bad people, finds pleasure in doing evil things. it's a lot easier from doing good things especially if they don't believe in god. yeah, i think you only get guilty if you believe in god.

say a prayer for them. like "lord, bahala ka na sa kanila.." hehe.

I don't know. The worst thing is that sometime they are your riends and it f-ing hurts. I mean, they are doing evil things on purpose and I just can't think of a possible cause for their actuation

I guess this is how the world turns around. It is a sad reality that exists and lives in this world. Masakit man isipin, ngunit ganito ang takbo ng ating buhay. Ngunit hindi ito ibig sabihin na wala na tayong magagawa para mabago ito.

(I can relate the questions to Mariel's surprise entrance to the PBB House, as well as the recent Glorietta 2 bombings that risked many innocent lives.)

2 things:

1) On the Glorietta bombing. With the news updates it seems that the accident angle is still not being ruled out. Terrorist action or big bad accident, a more fundamental question that would haunt every God-believing person is "why does God allow suffering to exist?" It even becomes more thought-provoking when we realize that the victims had carried the burden of undeserved suffering. It's a mystery but as long as we keep the faith and try to seek answers the effort to be enlightened is rewarding spiritual experience.

(2) Sorry for jumping from the profound to the mundane: My sister has informed me that some posters in PEx are beginning to get annoyed by your friend who's a house guest at PBB and they call her awful names. Thinking about this makes me realize how these people have objectified celebrities, making them want to fit their own criteria of who they are supposed to be. Parang cellfone na binibili. Instead of liking people for who they are, we tend to like other for who they appear to be or what they mean to us... but when we get to know the real deal (for instance, your friend's hyperactive nature), they get turned off and even fault the other for her shortcoming. I guess that what sets apart "like" from "love." We can like someone because he/she may fit our pre-conceived notions of like-ability. But love is different. Love breaks the mold of the preconceived because the other is desired for who he/she is, including his/her shortcomings and potentials for improvement.

God speed! :)

I'm thinking other than the bomb happenings in Makati...

I'm thinking about the Manay Lolit issue...

Because Ate Bianca's an entertainment host in E.L. after all, huh?

Anyway, I think Manay Lolit shouldn't have written that article if she thinks that it's just nothing for her, right? She said that she has nothing against Piolo nor Sam.. that she wouldn't destroy or hurt Piolo nor Sam for whatever reason.. But why did she wrote it? She should have kept it to herself instead, rather than broadcast it in the world...

Kris Ablan said...

I think it was under Prof. Ibana's class that we discussed man is good.

I remember the discussion focused on man being innately good. There is no evil person. An evil act is only a manifestation of a person doing something he thinks is good.

So when a person does an evil thing to you, your interpretation is that he did an evil thing. However, on his part, he is doing a good thing. yun nga lang, "good" sa kanya.

Anyhow, if you are talking about the glorietta explosion, i think the investigators are leaning towards negligence more than an act of terrorism. It turns out there are diesel tanks underneath glorietta 2.

Hi biancs.. regarding to that question. I may justify the actions of those people but everything has a reason, has a purpose.. I don't think God will allow that if people won't learn or grow from a painful or bad experience. It has a purpose, you may not know it now but in the future it will. Like they say what that don't kill you. will only make you stronger.

steve-o of mtv jackass fame gets his kicks by performing stunts which we deem as crazy and unnecessary. yet he continues to do such things for whatever reason, regardless of what other people may think.

perhaps we can't stop someone for doing something he wants to do. the same goes for these bad people, i guess.

this is a world, a "world", we must expect evil things. and remember newton's law? in every action there's an equal opposite reaction which means there's always evil and good, happiness and sadness, positive and negative, and the like. always remember that satan lives in this world he's always around to make such bad things happen and our role is to search for righteous path and walk with God through goodness in our hearts. this is scary but true that's why everytime we pray, we ask for deliverance from temptation and sin...about the glorietta bombing, i think it's another planted thing, well i don't know the real story behind this act but definitely there is. always remember what we saw in tv and news are not always true because there's always hidden facts or it may be true but definitely incomplete, lack of details and substance.

Ms Bianca please elaborate. You are obviously upset and have not turned to the bible for answers or at a lost. Like you these questions are also in my mind

Anonymous said...

i'm also asking that same question.. it's like asking "why do bad things happen to good people.." *sigh*

Demi said...

If you were referring to the Glorietta explosion, I agree with you. I just can't help but think of the same thing sometimes...But life teaches us that all things happen for a reason. Evil may pester us and deprive us of happiness we think we deserve, but we must not be taunted or whatever...coz there must be a reason why things happen so suddenly...We may never know the exact answer to that question because we aren't omniscient, but all we can do against it is to pray and hold on tight to God. Have a nice day...ü

The world my child operates on a balance. A lot of evil is a result of too much left understood, uncommunicated, unsaid, unfelt, unheard. Move in the direction of goodness and goodness will follow you dear Bianca. Too many questions unanswered? You will find them soon for as long as you see the purpose of things are to add up to your understanding and enlightenment. Too many people just wish not to be alone -- not knowing that they really are "not" alone. Too many wrongs are done because people believe they are alone. Smile Bianca, the world of goodness begins with it. If people were only aware of the power of goodness even in its smallest forms. Understandably, it is because it is harder to do, find, act on goodness in a world that refuses to believe it exists with sincerity.

why do some people do such evil things?

*** ignorance? fear? these may be the 2 major reasons. im not saying they will get away with it because there is a reason for doing bad things. God loves all people but when you sin, you get punished whether or not you ask for forgiveness and one only receives forgiveness when he/she asks for it. for the victims, God will take care of them. for us left behind, we should be ready cos its possible that we land in their shoes.. i hope not.

don't they get guilty, or don't they feel bad?

*** im only sure of the future, they will be guilty and will pay for it (karma)

and.. how are you supposed to deal with that?

*** we rise above our emotions and never lose faith. for it is better to be dead and fighting than have a dead spirit and still live in this world. Trust that there is more good than bad and dwell only on the good.

-why do some people do such evil things?
it's part of being human, really.
it just depends on how other people measure the evil act...

...spreading tsismis is evil but it seems normal to alot of people because it occurs everytime...

...saying 'putang ina', 'bobo', 'inutil', or 'ulol' for me is also evil but those words fire out of our mouths way too casually...

...and there's plenty of other evil things that we commit but are not aware of.
may it be hurting a person or hurting the world,
kupit man ng piso mula kay lola or corrupting the money of the state...
people seem to judge depending only on how great the damage is.

think it over, guys.
little did we know, we might be acting worse than our foul politicians, notorious terrorists or even Manay Lolit. ;p

-don't they get guilty, or don't they feel bad?
i think they still do. but as the saying goes, "nasa huli ang pagsisisi"...

-and.. how are you supposed to deal with that?
just remember the line in the prayer that our Lord taught us,
"...and forgive us, our sins as we forgive those who sin against us..."
amen?:)

hey bianca, have been reading your blog for quite some time now.i also have wondered why those things happen. i guess those kind of people have messed up values. if they do something bad they tend to rationalize it as doing something good or they just get so used to it that they are not aware what they are doing is bad. if you psych them out they tend to have a lot if insecurities that they tend to mask it by doing bad things to make them feel powerful. but i guess its part of life, that thing that matters most is "you" not doing the same things that they are doing.

hello! at last, i find my time to leave a comment here. i cried when i saw the news about the glorietta blast last friday. i cant help seeing people's dreams to be shattered in just a few seconds, blowing them from the reality of life. i can't convince myself that it was thru lpg explosion or diesel or methane gas blast. medyo malaki ang damage kasi. even the experts testify that it is possible that it was because of these gasses. unless, it was intentionally done. bakit nga
ba sila ganun? bakit nga ba nila kayang gawin ang mga bagay na para sumira ng properties, ng buhay at ng mga pangarap. if these people who are bad do such things, then we the good ones can do something about it. minsan kasi kulang sa aksyon ang mga mababait. minsan kasi wala tayong ginagawa para itama ang dapat itama, ituwid ang dapat ituwid. man by nature is really good. kung bakit sila nagiging masama, nasa satin ang mga kasagutan. let's all pray for the souls who passed away because of that incident plus the loved ones they left behind and those who are still recovering. have a blessed day and keep the faith bianca! take care! stay safe!

I'll answer that with one of my favorite quote from my favorite writer, Mario Puzo.

"Evil often springs from a man's desire to do good."

Sabi din ni Bishop Ongtioco of Diocese of Cubao, "Evil is not only the act of doing bad to anyone. It is also the "refusal" to the good thing or "having the capacity" or having the "awareness" to do good that makes it more evil.

IN OUR LOVES WE FIND OUR LACK. A friend told me once. And this doesn't only apply to material things we love, but also of the kinds of people we wish we had in our lives. Money, people and stature that people pursue may be signs of what ultimately needs resolution, completion, understanding within us. Only then do we realize that what we loved in the beginning is not really what we needed. It is hard for one to be immersed in a highly cosmeticized industry where material things are signs of stature. That is why you are admirable dear Bianca. See them with the eyes of understanding, each one is on a journey to find their fulfillment -- some not knowing that what they pursue will only be temporary, and some pursue what they know will be for their better good.

There are just some people who think that doing the "evil" acts would benefit them, and as to what they say:"masarap gawin ang bawal."
