do you want a better philippines?

do you want to have a president that inspires you and makes you want to work your hardest for the country?

do you want to rid the country of corruption?

do you want to make a difference?

you have no idea how big a difference you can make.
cast your vote in 2010.
NOW.

you may not know who to vote for yet. that is fine.

you may not be familiar with the different platforms yet. that is fine.

you may not care about casting one vote cause it won't make a difference anyway. that is NOT fine.

it WILL make a difference!!!!

you have until october 31 to register if you haven't.

we all have seven months to decide who to vote for and to learn the different platforms.

but not caring is the worst thing you can do.

you HAVE to care about where this country is going.

you have to!

you were disgusted when you heard of the zte scandal.

you were upset when they wanted to put tax on text.

you were saddened by the loss of the mother of democracy.

right?

that means you hate corruption, that you stand for what is fair and just, and that you value your freedom.

will you allow terrible things to just keep happening to our country?

we filipinos deserve better than the rut our country is in now!

that is why YOU HAVE TO VOTE, and VOTE WISELY.

this is our future, not anyone else's.

this is OUR FUTURE and WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR CREATING OUR FUTURE.

In addition, you have to know the positions and offices up for grabs. Do not confuse what a mayor and governor does from what a councilor and congressman does.

Many voters commit a mistake when they think the positions are all the same.

NO, they are NOT. It's not enough to register. It's not enough to vote. It's not enough know the platform. We have to know and understand the positions vied for.

And to paraphrase Duke and Sgt. Slaughter of GI Joe, KNOWING IS HALF THE BATTLE.

naniniwala ako na kapag wala kang ginawa para ipaglaban ang kandidatong sa tingin mo ay may magagawa sa bayan natin, wala kang karapatang magreklamo.

Do register! Do vote!
--sayang ang boto mo. kumilos ka para sa bayan natin.

I was wondering if somebody can suggest to invite all presidential candidates for a public debate live on air at all TV stations. just like the estrada impeachment trial. Yung primetime after news and current affairs para buong pilipinas talaga manonood. I think its one way also para new voters like me will have an idea kung ano meron and mga kandidato natin ngayon. Baka in the end it will just be the same story. over and over again....

We can't really "get rid" of corruption; we can just lessen it. Let's face it, every politician has his or her own corrupt side.
