i'm alive.

today i felt alive again.

i've been "dead" for some time now. thank you my LoRd and savior that i feel alive again.

today i followed the story of a man who put innocent lives at risk to fight for his dreams for 154 children in a dramatic hostage-taking situation.

today i witnessed the magnificent sunset at manila bay.

today i felt GoD's great purpose for me in the work that i do, and i saw the great power we have to share great things to the youth.

i'm alive.

kuya alan was so right. he was the one who told me, "everyday i wake up, and just to be alive and free is such a blessing. everything else is a bonus. if we appreciate life like that, suddenly we're so thankful for what we have and not sad about what we don't have."

i'm alive.

thank you LoRd.

i so totally agree. life itself is already a blessing. let's always remember to thank him for the little things, because not everyone are as blessed as we are. God is good!

hi bianca!

didn't the hostage-taking seem staged to you? as if it had a script and everything.

"disgruntled man wants to give children better lives so he holds them hostage to force the government to give them education. then the action hero enters to partially save the day."

it's a crazy world we're living in

There's nothing like waking up in the morning and realizing that that you're truly content with your life, that you're really looking forward to what's coming up next.

hi biancz! let me share with you this poem by an 85 year old woman na nabasa ko (and never forgot) years back, from the book Chicken Soup for the Soul:

If I Had My Life to Live Over
(I would pick more daisies)
by Nadine Stair

I'd dare to make more mistakes next time.
I'd relax, i would limber up.
I would be sillier than I have been this trip
I would take fewer things seriously
I would take more chances
I would climb more mountains and swim more rivers
I would eat more ice cream and less beans
I would perhaps have more actual troubles,
but I'd have few imaginary ones

You see, I'm one of those people who live sensibly
and sanely hour after hour, day after day
Oh, I've had my moments
and if I had it to do over again,
I'd have more of them
In fact, I'd try to have nothing else
Just moments, one after another,
instead of livng so many years ahead of each day
I've been one of those persons who never
goes anywhere without a thermometer,
a hot water bottle, a raincoat and a parachute.
If I had to do it again,
I would travel lighter than I have

If i had my life to live over,
I would start barefoot earlier in the spring
and stay that way later in the fall
I would go to more dances,
I would ride more merry-go-rounds.

I would pick more daisies.

the greatest regret will probably come from holding back on life =) i think we owe it to The One who brought us here to live life to the fullest and give it all we got =)

have a great day biancz!

Consciously choosing to be happy is always a positive attitude.

Glad you feel alive again. :)

hey biancs! life is good! ika nga "ang sarap mabuhay!" i remember the lyrics in the song i'm alive by celine dion. i just love that song.

"When you bless
The day
I just drift away
All my worries die
I know that Im alive"

aww. :-)
your post is simple yet so meaningful.

:-).. Yup, life is very is important so we should be thankful for that. How sad, the hostage drama occurred yesterday. it's showing the world how desperate filipinos are looking for attention from the government.. and the government will only move if something disgraceful is being done in public that can destroy the image of Philippines. they're not aware that it's destroyed already because of some worthless officials

Every morning when I wake up, I thank Him for giving me another chance to make things right. =) Everyday is a miracle. =)

Hostage!

Chavit Singson butted in.

Well, for me he kinda used the hostage drama to increase his popularity. By the way I watched an episode of ANC's Senatorial Debate wherein one of their guests in that episode was Mr. Chavit Singson together with Mr. Alan Peter Cayetano and Kiko Pangilinan, I hated his guts. He doesn't even know what he's talking about when he was asked about corruption. Hay Pilipinas. Babangon pa! =)

Anyway just sharing my views. Take care Bianca. =)

Yes! Let's live life to the fullest! To appreciate life best, one has neither to hold on to it tightly nor to let it go so carelessly...like the dry sand...when you try to hold on to it very tightly, as if squeezing it, it slips away faster but when you try to cast it away it sticks on your hand...

be happy bonita

in my graduation last wednesday (March 28) Maricel Laxa-Pangilinan was our guest speaker. and she inspired us with her 10 rules. ^__^.

one of the 10 rules is: "Use your time wisely." she asked us if we were alive and we immediately answered back "yes" then she told us: "thats it, just be alive thank the Lord for everything and dont waste time."

bianca, just wanted to share with you these quotes from Grey's Anatomy, too beautiful kasi not to share...ikaw na lang bahala if iaapprove mo comment ko or not =)ok lang sakin pramis, gusto ko lang mabasa mo to =)

"You know how when you were a little kid and you believed in fairy tales, that fantasy of what your life would be, white dress, prince charming who would carry you away to a castle on a hill. You would lie in bed at night and close your eyes and you had complete and utter faith. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming, they were so close you could taste them, but eventually you grow up, one day you open your eyes and the fairy tale disappears. Most people turn to the things and people they can trust. But the thing is its hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely cause almost everyone has that smallest bit of hope, of faith, that one day they will open their eyes and it will come true."

"At the end of the day faith is a funny thing. It turns up when you don't really expect it. It's like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed. The castle, well, it may not be a castle. And it's not so important happy ever after, just that its happy right now. See once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you , and once in a while people may even take your breath away."

"At the end of the day, there are some things you just can't help but talk about. Some things we just don't want to hear, and some things we say because we can't be silent any longer. Some things are more than what you say, they're what you do. Some things you say cause there's no other choice. Some things you keep to yourself. And not too often, but every now and then, some things simply speak for themselves."

sorry biancz mahaba ha, but i hope nagustuhan mo =) God bless you and ingat lagi =)

you're sooo right. sometimes we ask Him for so much that we fail to notice that we can't really do this without the blessing of each day given to us..

grabe yung hostage-taking. sana dinaan na lang ni Ducat yung gusto niyang iparating sa ibang paraan, huwag sa hostage.

short but sweet and inspiring post, ate Bianca. :)
